King Lear: So as you know today we are here to see who loves me the most. Of course the one that loves me the most will surely be the new owner of this amazing stadium of the Red Devils. So who would like to start?

Cordelia: me! me!s

King Lear: Go on then.

Cordelia: Jokes!!!

King Lear: Oh Cordelia please.

Regan: I will start then.

King Lear: Go ahead.

Regan: I love you so much dad I dont even know how to explain  my love to you as you are the best dad in the world, you looked after me,cared about me, you fed me, you loved me, you helped me and most important Im the only one that supports man u out of us and Im the only one that loves you dearly.

King Lear: (huggs Regan ) you are the best, I love u a lot too Regan you always bring a smile to my face thank you so  much for that. Goneril speak.

Goneril: You know that I love you more than Regan does I love you more than anything in the world I can show this by saying that I am the only one that is not married as I dont want to be separated from you in any way which means that when I get married I will make sure that we come to live really near to this beatiful stadium which has always been my dream. I give my heart to you (knees in front of him) I love you dad thanks for everything

King Lear: (Tears drop from his eyes) I love you Goneril I cant explain it. Cordelia speak.

Cordelia: I luv u bruv . U know dat I support u and I support man city the blue legends so yh I should be winnig dis fam I luv u dad fam make sure u fink about dis just look at my punk clothes dont i look the best yh G. I love u pls choose me fam u know dat right kl G

King Lear: I didnt expect more of you Cordelia you let me down by far. Guards get her out now just send her back to her stupid boyfriends house or anywhere else. It is going to be tough to decide between you two as you were both amazing I love you both however the winner is……………………………………….. Goneril!!!!

Goneril: Thank you dad I love you the most thanks thanks.

King Lear: I lied

Regan: hahahaha Goneril get out of here (Goneril leaves) That’s what I like!!!

King Lear: So Regan here you go your prize the stadium, here are the keys for the main door ENJOY!!!

Regan: Thanks dad , I will definitely enjoy the stadium bye dad.

Next Day

Regan: Come on Man U,go on Rooney score one of your power shots,GOAL!!!!

Regan’s friend: That was an amazing shot and the way the ball curved straight into the goal making Rooney score one of his absolute bangers which just make me love this awesome game and just want to support Man U forever which I obviously am.

Regan: I am so happy that I won this as it has always been my dream to be the owner of the best team in the premier league as they are the only ones that have won it for 5 times in a row and haven’t been beaten yet not even by the second best and their rivals for life Man City.

Regan’s Friend: I know right Man City are like 20 points below us and are the second so basically what’s the point of watching matches obviously Man U will win the league again and again and again.Anyway we are on the last 2 minutes of the match.

Everyone in the stadium: Man U are the best let anyone come we’ll win by far!!!

I will be doing my essay based on the play of King Lear. As you may know its about three sisters getting land as a reward of their love towards him. The sisters exaggerate their love in the fight for the most land. They use very effective sentences to explain their love.

This paragraph is going to be about Goneril and her love towards King Lear. Also how Shakespeare uses good  phrases to exaggerate her love and how she just says all of these lies to get the land. Otherwise she would definitely not say she loves him the most. To show her fake love he uses  quotes such as “dearer than eyesight space and liberty” , Shakespeare uses this triplet to show how false Goneril is and how she can just manipulate her father really easily. this shows that she is quite smart and that her father expects them to manipulate him or he is just not really smart. Also Goneril is answered by King Lear that she will be awarded with rivers and grass and rocks and mountains which means she has basically won  as she has been awarded and then Regan speaks.

In my opinion Regan just as her sister really exaggerates her love and is a liar with her own father and is also a little manipulative not as much as her sister though. To show this she uses quotes like ” Only she comes too short ” And this is fake as you can not really say that your love comes too short as you either love someone or you don not love someone. Also she says “Of the self-same metal as my sister is ” so that should mean that she should love him the same as her sisters do but then she goes on to other things that mean that she loves him more than her sisters so this is why I say that she is a liar and exaggerates her love. She says that her loves comes too short but it is all stuck inside her however Shakespeare makes it so exaggerating that shows that she is a really  exaggerating person which is really true.

Cordelia is very honest and truthful as she does not exaggerate her love. Her sisters do she is truthful and says “I love you according to my bond nor more nor less” which shows that she doesn’t exaggerate about her love for land.  When her sisters are speaking she is thinking of loving and being silent which means that she wants to show her love by action not by words so she speaks ” Nothing” When she was asked to speak she said that but then her dad tells her to amend he speech a little so she says that she can not heave her heart into her mouth. This is also a bit disrespectful as he is her father but she says that she thanks him a lot for giving her a future and helping her at all times and she says she rewards him by loving him. So in my opinion Cordelia should win the most land as she is the honest one.

I think King Lear is a bit exaggerating as well and also sarcastic as he believes the other two daughters by how they exaggerate their love so this shows that he expects his daughters to exaggerate as they want the land which is quite weird as if I was their father I would expect them to be truthful just like Cordelia was so I would give the land to Cordelia. to show this King Lear says “How , how ,Cordelia ” As he is surprised by honesty which Shakespeare show by him saying this and he is really false and manipulative just like his two daughters. He is really sarcastic also as he expects them to lie .

In conclusion i think that King Lear is false so are Regan and Goneril and that the one that should win all the land is Cordelia as she is the only one that was honest so i like her as in my opinion she is the best of all. She is really respectful as she doesn’t lie right in front of her own dads face. Which shows that she is respectful and doesn’t lie for land
